Will Russia stop with Ukraine?  Will Russia continue its cyber-war against democratic institutions and norms?  Are China, Russia, the DPRK and perhaps Iran forming a military and economic alliance against NATO countries?

Join us for an exploration of these provocative questions and more with former Colorado Governor Bill Owens, who has 39 years of experience and perspective in Russia.

Owens resigned as Chair of the Credit Bank of Moscow 48 hours after Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, stating, “I stand with my country and Ukraine.”

He first went to the Soviet Union in 1985 as a tour guide leading "People to People" groups throughout the Soviet Union, and has been there hundreds of times since.  He has lectured in major Russian universities, met Yeltsin, Gorbachev and Putin, and served as an independent director representing the World Bank on the boards of Russia’s second largest railroad and - for 10 years - as Chair of Russia’s fifth largest bank.

Owens brings a unique perspective to this talk which will focus on why Russia needs to be defeated/contained.
